When should I pay my Zakat?
Many Muslims choose to pay Zakat during Ramadan for multiplied rewards. Pay on your personal Zakat anniversary date β one lunar year from when your wealth first exceeded the Nisab threshold.
What is the Zakat al-Fitr amount?
Approximately $15 per person in your household. It must be paid before the Eid al-Fitr prayer to be valid.
What is the difference between Fidya and Kaffarah?
Fidya ($15/day) is for those who permanently cannot fast due to illness or old age. Kaffarah ($900) is the penalty for deliberately breaking a fast without valid reason.
