How do I make a donation?

Is my donation tax-deductible?
Global Hope Giving is a registered charity. All donations receive an instant digital tax receipt that you can use for your tax return.
Can I make a monthly recurring donation?
Yes! Monthly giving is the most effective way to support our programs. You can set up or cancel monthly donations at any time through your donor account.
What percentage of my donation goes to programs?
85% of every dollar goes directly to humanitarian programs. The remaining 15% covers essential administration and fundraising costs.
Can I donate on behalf of someone else?
Yes. You can make a donation in someone else's name and we can send them a personalized e-card notification.
Do you accept donations in currencies other than CAD/USD?
Yes. Our payment processor automatically converts all major world currencies at the current exchange rate.

What is Zakat?
Zakat is the third pillar of Islam — an obligatory annual charity of 2.5% of qualifying wealth for every adult Muslim whose wealth exceeds the Nisab threshold.
How do I calculate my Zakat?

Are your programs Zakat-eligible?
Yes. Programs marked with the "Zakat" badge distribute funds exclusively to the eight categories of Zakat recipients defined in the Quran (9:60).
Who oversees your Zakat distribution?
Our Zakat distribution is reviewed by qualified Islamic scholars to ensure compliance with Shariah principles.
What is Sadaqah Jariyah?
Sadaqah Jariyah means "ongoing charity" — a gift whose rewards continue even after you pass away. Our water well and school building programs are forms of Sadaqah Jariyah.

Absolutely. When donating, you can select a specific cause such as Emergency Relief, Clean Water, Education, or Orphan Sponsorship.
Do you have local partners on the ground?
Yes. We work with established local partner organizations in each country to ensure culturally appropriate, effective aid delivery.
